New Weddings in our Client Gallery
05th December 2015 - 0 comments
I have been busy this evening and 2 wedding galleries have now been added to our client section and are ready for friends and family to view.

The 2 weddings are Mark & Zoe's wedding who we photographed at Castle Upton Templepatrick, County Antrim, Northern Ireland and a Reception at the Corrs Corner Hotel and Steven & Erin who got married at Holy Trinity Church of Ireland near Holywood County Down and had their photos at Antrim Castle Grounds followed by a reception at the Templeton Hotel.

As wedding photographers we feel it is important that the Bride and Groom are the first to see their final processed gallery that is why we hide it when it is first up loaded. Only when they they are happy they have had a change to enjoy their wedding images do we moved the gallery to the client section.

Wonderful Day at Lady Dixon's Belfast with Christopher & Ashleigh
26th November 2015 - 0 comments
As a wedding photographer you are always aware of time. Making sure you don't take the couple away from guest for too long, keeping one eye on jaw close your are getting to the call for the meal etc.

Christopher & Ashleigh took the decision to have their service at 11am leaving plenty of time for guests and photos in the afternoon. We had the chance to stop off at the location of their first kiss before heading to Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon Park on the edge of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The end result was fantastic, time to play around in the park, move locations for photos all at more relaxed pace.

We had a wonderful day and for once the Northern Ireland weather played ball and was great.

Their full gallery can now be viewed in our client gallery if you know the password or a selected gallery is now on our Facebook page.

Wet Weather Wedding Photography
14th November 2015 - 0 comments
Everybody wants a beautiful weather on their wedding day. Unfortunately in Northern Ireland that can not be guaranteed. This was the case at the wedding of Matthew and Nicola.

As Wedding photographers based in 'Sunny' Northern Ireland it is an important part of our preparation to visit all venues and assess the wet weather options. In addition regardless of how great the forecast is for the wedding day we always bring a full set of flashes, brollies, soft boxes and stands to ensure that we can continue creating great images on the day.

These are few of the images we created for Matt & Nicola at the Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick, County Antrim. Using a variety of off camera flash set ups and available lighting.

If you are getting married in Northern Ireland and would like to talk to us about what we offer please Contact Us .

Ashleigh on zip-line at Lady Dixons park , Belfast.
14th October 2015 - 0 comments
If ever a sequence of photos showed what kind of day we had at yesterdays wedding, its these. Ashleigh and Christopher were amazing fun and needed little encouragement to have a go.

Before these shots were taken wed already been on the swings and stopped at the Chemist in Ballygowan to mark their first kiss 14 years to the day earlier.

We love capturing our Northern Ireland Brides and as wedding photographers want to make sure our photography evokes happy memories for years to come.

David & Erica's Wedding
30th March 2015 - 0 comments
The Northern Ireland wedding photography scene is in full swing and a quick sneak peek from Saturday's wedding is available on our Facebook page David and Erica were a wonderful couple. Obviously in love and very natural to photograph. We had a great time with both them and the rest of the Bridal Party at the Ballygally Castle Hotel, Northern Ireland. It was not an easy set of photos to whittle down to a sneak peek so there is plenty more to come.

We hope you like them and that our passion to be photographers that create moonrise comes across.

Great way for a couple to announce their recent marriage at Belfast City Hall
27th February 2015 - 0 comments
We had a great afternoon at the City Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland as wedding photographers for Chrissy and Kerrie.

After the ceremony we went outside to brave the cold for a few photos and there were guys from the BBC posting messages on a big screen in the grounds. They kindly offered to put a couple of messages up for our bride and groom for us to photograph.

We love it when we get to provide something unique for our bride and groom on their big day, especially when it's not planned or expected.

A big thank you to the guys who made it possible.

We are a husband and wife team of wedding photographers based in Northern Ireland and passionate about creating memories for our brides and grooms.

Great new review from one of our Wedding Photography clients
16th January 2015 - 0 comments
We are so pleased to read our most recent review from Jennifer Collen. She clearly got what we are about and what is on our hearts when providing a Northern Ireland wedding photography service to our brides and grooms. Here is what she had to say...

From first speaking to Paul when I was just making an initial enquiry he was extremely helpful. He talked me through lots of different options and what I should be expecting from a photographer even if I didn't choose him! He also did not in any way push us towards the most expensive packages and in fact we only paid for the cheapest package before the wedding with the option to upgrade later if we wanted to. ...

Celebrating our 2014 wedding and portrait photography in Northern Ireland
09th January 2015 - 0 comments
Time to reflect back on a wonderful year photographing weddings and portraits throughout Northern Ireland. Particularly special for us was the amount of weddings this year that came from recommendations and the number of portraits we photographed that were children of previous wedding clients.

Thank you to everyone that made 2014 so special. Paul & Judith Jervis

New Weddings in our Client Gallery
29th September 2014 - 0 comments
Having just transferred a number of wedding albums to our client gallery I thought it would be a good opportunity to explain how we provide our images after a wedding.

First of all, every image in a gallery is processed, so while you can still request changes you are viewing an image that has had some time spent on it.

We take pride in our images so it takes about 2-3 weeks for them to be available to our bride and groom. At this stage they are posted online but in a private section, so only the bride and groom are able to view them. This means they are always the first to view their gallery.

Once they have had a chance to view their photos they let us know and we move the gallery to our client section where friends and family can view them, provided they know the password.

We are Northern Ireland based wedding photographers. A husband and wife team who are passionate about capturing happy memories from your wedding day.

Wedding photography sneak peek for Sheelagh and Robin
30th June 2014 - 0 comments
We had a wonderful day photographing Robin & Sheelagh's wedding at the Ballymac Hotel in Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. A sneak peek of their wedding photos can be found at this link.

One thing about photographing a wedding in Northern Ireland is dealing with the weather. On this day the weather was fantastic and naturally you want to have all the wedding photography outside, however it is worth considering are there any photo opportunities you would like inside. Maybe it's a feature in the hotel like a fireplace or an ornate window. In our case it was a 4 poster bed.

I just love this photo of Sheelagh and yet it could so easily have been missed in an effort to make the best of the NI weather..

So the lesson from this … consider your 'wet weather' alternatives and if any are particularly nice make sure you visit them regardless of the weather on your wedding day.

I will miss these doors :-(
23rd May 2014 - 0 comments
Ok I appreciate this is a bit sad but anyone who has looked at my photography will realise old gnarly doors, from across Northern Ireland, feature quite a lot in my wedding and portrait photography.

So imagine my disappointment, during a 40th birthday portrait session at the Dunadry Hotel this week, when I take the family out to my favourite spot to find that the old gnarly doors have all been replaced with nice, white double glazed windows.

I appreciate the hotel wants to develop and improve its facilities but I will miss not being able to take any wedding photos, like the one below, at this location any more.

The good news is there are still plenty of great locations at the Dunadry Hotel for wedding and portrait photography.
