New Weddings in our Client Gallery
29th September 2014 - 0 comments
Having just transferred a number of wedding albums to our client gallery I thought it would be a good opportunity to explain how we provide our images after a wedding.

First of all, every image in a gallery is processed, so while you can still request changes you are viewing an image that has had some time spent on it.

We take pride in our images so it takes about 2-3 weeks for them to be available to our bride and groom. At this stage they are posted online but in a private section, so only the bride and groom are able to view them. This means they are always the first to view their gallery.

Once they have had a chance to view their photos they let us know and we move the gallery to our client section where friends and family can view them, provided they know the password.

We are Northern Ireland based wedding photographers. A husband and wife team who are passionate about capturing happy memories from your wedding day.

03rd July 2014 - 0 comments
We had a fantastic day at the Farnham Estate with Alistair and Kathy doing their wedding photography after crossing the boarder from Northern Ireland having spent time in Tandragee on the getting ready coverage and the service at Richill.

We love our job as wedding photographers but it is a bit special when your bride sends a text after viewing their gallery saying

"wow they are amazing… just loved the 1s I was able to 2 c … could cry they were so lovely".

Full gallery can be viewed at www.pauljervisphotography.co.uk/client but only if you know the password.

Wedding photography sneak peek for Sheelagh and Robin
30th June 2014 - 0 comments
We had a wonderful day photographing Robin & Sheelagh's wedding at the Ballymac Hotel in Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. A sneak peek of their wedding photos can be found at this link. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152198082322155.1073741858.114947832154&type=1

One thing about photographing a wedding in Northern Ireland is dealing with the weather. On this day the weather was fantastic and naturally you want to have all the wedding photography outside, however it is worth considering are there any photo opportunities you would like inside. Maybe it's a feature in the hotel like a fireplace or an ornate window. In our case it was a 4 poster bed.

I just love this photo of Sheelagh and yet it could so easily have been missed in an effort to make the best of the NI weather..

So the lesson from this … consider your 'wet weather' alternatives and if any are particularly nice make sure you visit them regardless of the weather on your wedding day.

We love getting the chance to photograph our wedding clients children
28th May 2014 - 0 comments
It is always special when you get to photograph the children of wedding clients. This morning at Antrim Castle grounds (Northern Ireland) we had the opportunity to photograph Connie and this is just one photo from what was taken as a bit of a sneak peek.

It's hard to believe that it was actually about three and a half years ago that we were photographing Drew and Rebekah's wedding. We were actually hoping to use the same location for their wedding photos but that didn't happen in the end.

How time flies.

I will miss these doors :-(
23rd May 2014 - 0 comments
Ok I appreciate this is a bit sad but anyone who has looked at my photography will realise old gnarly doors, from across Northern Ireland, feature quite a lot in my wedding and portrait photography.

So imagine my disappointment, during a 40th birthday portrait session at the Dunadry Hotel this week, when I take the family out to my favourite spot to find that the old gnarly doors have all been replaced with nice, white double glazed windows.

I appreciate the hotel wants to develop and improve its facilities but I will miss not being able to take any wedding photos, like the one below, at this location any more.

The good news is there are still plenty of great locations at the Dunadry Hotel for wedding and portrait photography.

Welcoming the Giro
08th May 2014 - 0 comments
Well, when I am not photographing weddings I am a bit of a cycling nerd so I am sure you will understand that I am a tad excited this weekend with the arrival of the Giro to Northern Ireland. No wedding photography this weekend. Just men with shaved legs in lycra.

To celebrate we have 'pinked' our site in honour of the race's leader's jersey. Also, below are a few photos taken at our own Tour of the North at locations the Giro will be passing.

See you next week.

Fantastic time at a March Wedding in Donegal
08th April 2014 - 0 comments
At the beginning of the month we left Ballyclare and drove to Ballyliffen in Donegal for Michael and Orla's Wedding.

It is not unusual for us to photograph weddings beyond Belfast and County Antrim and Donegal is hard to beat for scenery.

It was a very windy and cold day but the Bride and Groom still decided to get to the beach for a few photos.

If you are a friend or a family member you can see the full gallery in our gallery section.

We had a wonderful time with a great couple. Thanks for a Fantastic day

It is important for us to experience life in front of the camera too
22nd March 2014 - 0 comments
We understand that being in front of the camera is a difficult process for most of our wedding and portrait clients.

As a result, Judith & I occasionally force ourselves the other side of the camera so we are aware of how our clients feel and therefore hopefully make their experience with us an enjoyable one.

At this time of year we try to get a couple of days away to spend time together and take a chance to practice our photography skills.

This is one of the images I took of Judith at a great location in Crawfordsburn Country Park, Northern Ireland. We have used here before for both wedding and engagement photography.

Sneak Peek of Kevin & Jenny's Wedding at La Mon Hotel Belfast Northern Irealnd
10th March 2014 - 0 comments
It has been a pretty busy week so it is great to get caught up a bit on the Blog.

We had a fantastic day with Kevin & Jenny, just over a week ago, from 'getting ready' photography in Bangor, the Service at St. Columbas in Belfast and their Reception at the La Mon Hotel.

We had great fun and as always tried to make sure we had our usual blend of casual, formal and fun photographs from the day.

Our full gallery will be in our client gallery section soon but in the meantime here are a few photos from the day.

Sneak Peek of Michael & Gillian's Wedding at Belfast Castle, Northern Irealnd
17th February 2014 - 0 comments
We loved getting back to photographing a wedding last Saturday. Despite the Northern Ireland weather we managed to have most of the photographs outside. After the Ceremony in Cregagh Methodist in Belfast we moved on the the wonderful Belfast Castle for photos and reception.

Michael and Gillian were great despite not liking getting their photos taken. We had a wonderful time and their wedding and look forward to letting them see their full gallery of images from the day.

Photographing past wedding clients
18th December 2013 - 0 comments
It's always great to be asked to photograph a family but it is a wee bit special when the request comes from a wedding client.

It is fantastic getting to meet up again with wedding clients still based in Northern Ireland and to be involved at another key stage in their life.

We travelled to Lisburn last Saturday to see Norman, Danielle and their baby daughter. Here are a couple of sneak peek photos from their photography session.

Great Day with Ryan and Bernadette
09th December 2013 - 0 comments
Being wedding photographers in Northern Ireland you never know what weather will arrive when photographing a wedding. It doesn't matter what the season it is important to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Thankfully last Saturday was great and while cold the wind had subsided and the rain stayed away (mostly).

Winning image of Northern Ireland Landmark
13th November 2013 - 0 comments
I was delighted to find out that a photograph I had taken of the Dark Hedges (near Ballymoney in Northern Ireland) was selected as one of the winning images in a competition by onOne software.

The Dark Hedges are one of my favourite places to photograph and are now famous for being used in the Game of Thrones TV series.

You can find out more about the competition winners by clicking here.

We have also photographed a wedding and engagement there too. The engagement was a particularly wet experience as you can see.
